Medical use of ozone has been the subject of an increasing number of studies, including clinical trials, for several decades. Furthermore, a meta-analysis of clinical trials has been made.

Ozone therapy is a method known and used for many years in many countries of the world, especially in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Japan and Russia. In 1986, ozone therapy appeared in Poland, thanks to Professor Zygmunt Antoszewski, who called it the Nobel Prize in medicine.
